ColegauCymru has submitted an application for Pathway 2 funding to Wales’ new international learning exchange programme, Taith.
Taith Pathway 2 aims to build partnership and strategic collaboration through international collaborative projects and develop quality outputs addressing educational challenges and opportunities across Wales and internationally.
Our project bid ColegauCymru Research Project into Vocational Qualification Reform and the Implementation of CTER, aims to support the current review of vocational qualifications currently being undertaken as part of the Welsh Government Co-operation Agreement with Plaid Cymru. The bid also looks to prioritise ongoing discussions around the implementation of the Commission for Tertiary Education and Research (CTER).
If successful, the research project will look at whether the establishment of CTER has the potential to promote the development of a National VET Strategy for Wales, and what we can learn from other countries about how to ensure the seamless integration of governance, funding, and oversight of post compulsory education in Wales under the Commission. It will also aims to consider how different models work in practice to ensure the portability of our own qualifications.
Planned project activities include a mobility to Scotland and Finland, three regional workshops and a conference in Wales, with international partners and other stakeholders in the VET sector in Wales.
The deadline for bid submissions is 1 December 2022 with the outcome announced in February 2023.
