The programme is a partnership between Universities Wales, ColegauCymru, Welsh Government, British Council Wales, and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW).
Global Wales brings together universities and colleges with Global Wales partner organisations behind a single strategy to increase international profile, recruitment, and partnership opportunities for universities and colleges for the benefit of students, institutions and Wales as a nation.
From 2022, Global Wales is funded through Taith - an ambitious international learning exchange programme announced by Welsh Government in 2021 and launched in early 2022.
Siân Holleran, Project Manager, is the primary contact for international work at ColegauCymru. Siân leads on a comprehensive programme of overseas training, volunteering and study opportunities for staff, learners and apprentices in the FE sector. She works closely with the Global Wales team and the FE colleges to ensure that the sector is well-positioned to take advantage of the new and exciting opportunities on offer through Global Wales.
