Internationalising the Skills Sector, British Council, June 2017
2020/21 saw ColegauCymru commission research into internationalisation in the further education sector in Wales. “CollegesWales International is committed to taking forward the recommendations from the report with the support and guidance of a newly formed strategic International Group. CollegesWales International supports the internationalisation of the further education sector in Wales in many ways:
- Facilitating international enrichment opportunities on behalf of the sector to bring a global dimension to as many areas of college life as possible.
- Recognising the importance of ensuring that qualifications undertaken in Wales are understood and recognised in other countries so that learners, staff and workers can study, train and work abroad.
- Disseminating information on commercial, funded and partnership opportunities to our members.
- Supporting FE colleges with general advice on international student recruitment.
