CollegesWales International leads on delivering overseas development opportunities for both learners and staff in further education. These opportunities are made possible through funded mobility programmes such as Erasmus+, the Turing Scheme and the Welsh Government International Learning Exchange Programme, Taith.
“Spending time studying, volunteering or on work placements abroad broadens horizons, expands key skills and brings benefits not just to the individual participants but also to communities and organisations here in Wales. ColegauCymru is encouraged that young people from all backgrounds can benefit from the variety of opportunities on offer through these different programmes.”
Siân Holleran, CollegesWales International European and International Project Manager
CollegesWales International supports the Welsh Government commitment to ensuring that Wales remains an outward-looking nation by facilitating FE colleges’ participation in overseas mobility projects through its pan-Wales consortium applications. CollegesWales International has a robust network of partners worldwide with whom we collaborate with to offer international enrichment and enhancement opportunities to learners and staff in colleges in Wales. We also encourage reciprocal arrangements for our partners to come to Wales for study, training and work. In the same way, our education providers are enriched by students and staff visiting Wales to study and teach.
